Editor's note: this page may spontaneously change at my whim. Expect varying levels of accuracy and honesty.
This blog has evolved, slowly, since 1999, into that friend everyone has who is only tolerable in small quantities. You know who I'm talking about. They're fun for a while, but eventually you reach your limit and you're ready to go home. So it goes with this blog. If I start posting too much, I demand my space. If I happen to be that guy for some of you out there, too bad. You're probably that person for me. All's fair in the world of passive-aggressive internet personality conflicts.
Here's a bio you copy and paste into an imaginary news source: Particleman is an attorney in Dallas, TX. He's not one of those attorneys who wears a suit and tie and goes to court and argues with people and calls witnesses to the stand and says, "Objection, leading." He sits in a glass box and writes letters and does research about copyright law and helps businesses lessen the painful sting of the software licensing mafia. He encourages you to buy the software you use, the music you listen to, and the DVDs you watch. He encourages you to help the creators doing all the creating to survive, pay rent, eat, make more creations, and maybe go see a movie. Particleman is an advocate of open source software. In his spare time, he plays bass in a Beatles band, plays guitar in his apartment, and rides bikes outside.
Please buy particleman and particlegirl stuff. It's not for my sake. All proceeds go to the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation. Kids need to learn music. It's good for them. Music stresses creativity, math, structure, and discipline. What kid doesn't need that?
If you find anything resembling legal advice on this site, please take it with a ginormous grain of salt, if you take it at all. This website is personal - not professional.
Anything else, email me at what -AT- particleman -DOT- org. Chris Sandoval and John Henroid were instrumental in getting this site to look and work the way it does now. Without them, this site would look very a) 1995 or b) broken. You can use anything original on this site pursuant to the Creative Commons License, with exception to the nifty logo above. That's off-limits. And remember - quoting is good. Stealing is bad. I stole that from nerdygirl.com.
